Crossroad
Walking together side by side,
Setting off to recover her lost crown,
Along a path full of villains and monsters.
The knight thus sayeth to the Princess:
‘My dearest precious Princess,
I, with my full heart, dedicate myself
To clear out all obstacles,
Enabling you to go on,
Accomplishing your task,
Of recovering your lost crown.
You deserved to be crowned,
As your tender heart and wisdom
Is sure to lead the people towards
A better and more prosperous life.’
The knight fulfills his promise
To rid all hazards along the way.
But soon they reached a crossroad
Too narrow for both to pass,
The knight then sayest
‘My dear brave girl,
From here you must go on
Without my accompaniment.
This path was not paved for two.
I know you are brave,
And I have come this far,
You will surely reach the end.
Reach for the crown,
Become the queen,
My soul and my heart,
Will serve you, always.’
The Princess thus walked on,
Alone, and unprotected.
The path became brighter,
The closer she reached the crown.
The glimmering jewels welcomed her,
And invited her to reach out for the crown.
Overjoyed to have accomplished her goal,
But not forgetting her dearly beloved knight,
She came back to the crossroad,
Only to find her knight, gasping for his last breath.
A monster had attacked him,
Right after they had parted.
It was now too late,
For anything to be done.
Years had gone by,
The Princess, now Queen,
Ruled a happy land.
When a mission came again,
She had to set off once more.
Believing she was on her own,
Delighted to find a knight along the way,
Willingly swear to protect her,
They continued down the path together.
The knight killed monsters and rid villains,
And was just as valiant as the previous one.
But whence they came to the same crossroad,
The Queen shivered in fear once more.

Rainbow
Thy arch perches upon the azure sky,
Only after the stormiest wind.
Knowing thy stay is short,
My sight remained upon thee.
Yet distracted by a malicious sting,
When I turn around again,
Thou art gone.
Have thee left for good?
Or shall I search a little bit more?
Mere Fantasy
As to take a mere fantasy
And envision it to be real?
Oh, how could I be so daft
As to believe things actually are
When they never will be?
Impatience takes over me
The longer I wait for thee.
Then reality gives me a stingy bite.
Ouch! That hurt!
Can I? Should I?
Entrust thee with my dream?
Believe that perhaps
Fantasy may stand its chance?
Or should I reluctantly
Embrace this cruel, cold-blooded
Tormenting truth,
That fantasies
Are just mere fantasies?
The Ultimate Defeat
And lost all but a pair of flip-flops.
There was little left of him.
This, the world perceived;
Because he had lost everything
To the bloody devil himself.
Little did they know;
His angels thus began
Singing his song aloud
As he sat in the corner and wept:
'Oh he is so 'cuz he gave us all;
What's left in him that's all good.
He gave and gave till none was left;
Until we obtained our halo and wings.
Oh,why? Oh, why can't you see?
We, the angels are
The outcome of this devilish pact.
Save him! Save him!
We shall sing,
Until the world finally learns
That out of his ultimate defeat,
His final victory, was heaven itself, no less.'
No Reply
To the silence within;
Let the gaze blind our minds.
As I caress your gentle
Whispers of adoration,
We turn this moment
Into Eternity.
We are both heroes
Succumbing to our arch-enemy's
Tender conquest.
If this does not suffice,
Then what will?
Adieu
A part of me will be leaving with you.
Over mountains and across the seas,
Where the pasture's crispy green,
Will you be thinking of me?
It's almost time to bid you adieu.
A part of you will always be.
Under the sun, the moon and the stars,
Let's rejoice in this chapter's end,
And embrace our brand new epic.
It's almost time to bid you adieu,
Nothing else needs to be said or done.
For you know best, and I know all,
We are warriors upon our chariots,
Fighting this interminable battle.
It's almost time to bid you adieu.
Adieu! Adieu! Adieu!

Ivy
She brings life
To whatever she's climbing on.
Whether it be a simple fence
Or the wall of a brick house.
The insignificant damages
Cannot undermine her beauty.
She would be the wonder in a scene.
Take that which she is leaning on
Away
Then her beauty is no more.
She, is no more.

Feline Religion
Pouncing there and here.
Restless is my feline heart
For I know,
Yet I don't.
Changes now and then;
Hoping then and now.
Contentment is my feline nature.
For I know,
And I don't.
Eating more and less;
Dozing less and more.
Relaxation is my feline mastermind.
For I know,
But I don't.
I am the royalty,
And I am the child
In the human household.
For I know all,
Yet I know naught.
That is the Tao
Of the Cat.
I am my own Bible.

Sonnet in Couplets
'Tis a lie to say no battles were won.
The flag has no meaning without its pole,
Like a walking torso without a soul.
The thorns of a rose define its beauty,
Cold chilly winters make spring more plenty.
The sour peels that keep the cherries sweet,
The gruesome tyrant trains the strongest fleet.
Uncovered the veil that blinded my mind,
Can any other be ever so kind.
May this be the last as lovers to feast
Memory shall be permanent, at least.
Your noble tenor voice keeps me sane,
And thus my pen will never dance in vain.

Written on our fourth anniversary
Treading upon the soil of the World.
But spinning the Wheel
Changes not our fate in the slightest way.
Thou art the Star.
And I, the Moon.
Both breathing in the rays of the Sun.
He gives us Strength.
Then Justice is unveiled.
We are the Hermit,
The Magician, and the Hierophant;
We are the High Priestess.
Together we battle in the Tower
Against the Devil and even Death.
Through Temperance shall we confront
The Judgment courageously.
Mark how the Hanged Man struggles not.
For we are the Lovers in our Chariot
Riding forward toward our destined Thrones.

On Beethoven
Or I will condemn you
To the lowest level of ignorance,
Where you shall be tortured
By not ever knowing
What true beauty really is.
Deny the sonic bard,
And I'll shout: blasphemy!
For belittling the musical saint,
The messiah of sounds.
No matter what you think,
His music - invincible!

A Dozen Roses
Red in the center,
White all over.
Angelic snow
Lies restfully
On the fertility greens.
Alas!
The savior has returned!
Alas!
The broken body healed!
Gone!
The evil in our love!
A dozen roses
Red is me,
Survived the dead.
Angelic love
Stood patiently
Awaited for my recovery.

Villanelle
2 Though it kills too blindly and too coldly
3 For your thoughts and words shall soon be refined.
4 Every single thought is one of a kind
5 Guide that light to perpetuality
6 Fear not the brutal stabs into the mind.
7 Let not norms and rules make thoughts so confined
8 Free the angels of creativity
9 For your thoughts and words shall soon be refined.
10 Red ink will strike and then you will soon find
11 T'is only for better never for worse
12 Fear not the brutal stabs into the mind.
13 To the purest stage you will rewind
14 View the world with a brand new vision
15 For your thoughts and words shall soon be refined.
16 By then the light will have been redefined
17 As you stand awaiting the fatal strike
18 Fear not the brutal stabs into the mind
19 For your thoughts and words shall soon be refined.
Note: A villanelle is a lyrical poem formed by five tercets and one quatrain. It's unique in its repetition of the first line in the 6th and 12th; the third line in 9th and 15th; together again forming a closing couplet for the poem. Again, the attempt to write it in iambic pentameter is not yet smooth enough. But all the others are strictly followed.
Shakespearean Sonnet
That neither have nor will I ever see;
As candies bring a happy child much delight,
Sorrow will pack up bitterness and flee.
To see the light alone is enough joy;
To see it with a smile doubles the pleasure,
I say to thee be everything but coy,
Fortify thy charms with gifted treasure.
Look beyond what thou are visualizing,
Search everywhere in thou enpowering heart,
Have the mind awake to a realizing,
That the light and the charm will never part.
So look into my eyes and tell me this:
That all will bloom and blossom with a kiss.

Three Verticle Lines
Three lines mar the place of beauty,
Even in sleep.
The left and right, forever at war,
Thus flexed, build a wall between themselves
Three Vertical Lines, trenches where you hide your real face.
Forever at war with the inner, forever in intercourse with the outer.
Trenches of war that will only deepen with the years.
Smooth them now, while still in your youth.
Descend from your Ivory Tower, that proud intellectual edifice.
Mind.
Manufacturer of words.
Descend, down, down past your beautiful lips, your tongue, the delicate curve of your throat,
The mechanisms of your 2-sided (oh-so-crafty) word-craft,
Down.
Unlock the vertical bars and steal in quietly, both as guest and master of the house.
Enter into the gentler, quieter parts.
Please lay down your weapons,
Those Three Upright Lines.
And enter into the humbler parts, and rest.
Even if only for a while.

Meeting You
We met.
Below the inconstant moon,
We chattered.
Above all our worries,
We had
This one unforgettable night.
If Juliet cared none
Of Romeo's name,
Why should we,
Of the temporal limits?
Let's sail together
See how far we get.
Columbus faith,
And so should we.
